Kansas City’s Fearless Women Day Luncheon will be held August 26th at The Overland Park Marriott from Noon to 3:00PM with a panel of distinguished speakers and vendors. Women will come together not only to celebrate the 90th Anniversary of our right to vote, but also to be inspired to move forward on their Fearless Journey.
The luncheon is part of a national book launch. In her extraordinary book, Fearless Women, Fearless Wisdom, internationally acclaimed author and photographer Mary Ann Halpin has brought together 40 female entrepreneurs from across the country. With poignant photography, Halpin celebrates the courage and strength these women demonstrated while working through their fears to achieve great personal and professional success. Local women Juliann Kelley and Marquetta Glass are two of the featured portraits.
The local “Fearless Woman Award” will be honoring: Barbara Unell; Cheryl Womack; Ethel Davis; Kimberly Engleman; Shelley Armato. Their stories are a reminder to women everywhere that, even through challenging circumstances, we can fear less and forge a fulfilling life that touches others. These women will we awarded locally as other women receive the same recognition in cities across the US and Canada.
Celebrate how far we’ve come, be inspired by the fearless stories from the panel, and roll up your sleeves during an interactive themed,” What do you want to Fear-Less?”
Tickets are $55.00 with proceeds going to the honorees local charities, eWomenNetwork Foundation and the Jack & Jill Late Stage Cancer Foundation.
